Nraith watches and listens, nodding softly, he used his link to Rikki to see what she saw and sighs nodding softly, "I am sorry Ktal. I did not know" he understands Ktal's hatred for the woman now, "We will sleep in one of the chambers above ground. I know of one that has a courtyard in the middle of it, we will be safe there"
He smiles, listening again to Rikki and chuckling as she asks if he can do it again. He says to Ktal, "You will have to learn to control it before it gets you and Rikki into a whole lot of trouble" but he knew that might be difficult as Ktal would also have to let go of those emotions. Not an easy task, but it is possible. That would be for another day.
He watches the two young humans, thinking on them for a moment. Why them? Why Him? He was unsure what he was going to do. He had a young rider to train and now her mate has some special power he will need help learning to control, as well as what it does. He lifts his eyes upwards looking into the sky. He watches the stars a moment, watching one seem to move across the sky. A Tilt of his head as he wondered what that was. Perhaps another flying ship like this one or something else left behind by the humans or something entirely different.
He continues to watch it until it disappears in the darkness.

Ktal had nodded at Nraiths words, "Thank you Nraith," he said quietly. Rikki, still trying to get him to explain what he couldn't explain, finally pouted at the side of him.
"Rikki," he finally said, as he noticed the growning stiffness of her body. "Please....", he gently touched her lips with his fingertips. "You know I don't know how," he gently chided her.
"Well, I just wanted, .. I thought, we could." she began only to stop again as he gently touched her lips again. "Shhhh," he said as he tucked her firmly against his side." "Come, look at the sky, remember how we would," he began...
"we would lay on the hillside at night and watch the stars." she finished his sentence.
They sat in silence for several long minutes, questions not said by Rikki but active in her mind. They saw the lights, and each wondered, what the skies held and where was their place?
Rikki turned her gaze from the sky to Nraith. She felt a deep warmth suffuse her, growing to fill her from toe to fingertip. And in that moment, she smiled relaxing against Ktal but her eyes full of Nraith.

Nraith listens with a grin, his eyes remaining on the skies above. He felt something draw him up, but for the moment he resists watching and wondering. He could still feel the presence at the very edge of his senses but he neither spoke of it nor looked to where he felt it resting and watching.
~why here? Why now? What will happen in these days?~ his thoughts sought them out, hidden from the others, he knew he would receive no answers, but it did not hurt to ask the questions perhaps one day they would answer them. He wondered of their ways and why they remained hidden for so long.
He continued to feel the draw upwards. Distracted he did not feel what Rikki felt, instead he rose to his feet still looking up. He walked a few feet away from Rikki and Ktal, the space was open and he shifts to his dragon form. With the beat of his wings he rises into the air, a moment passes then another to Ktal ~take care and be aware and alert, protect Rikki~
He flew higher and higher, rising in a circular column with a beat of each wing as he caught each thermal he rose higher. He did not know what drew him to do so, he didn't feel like he could stop. He realized he was focused on a star, a point of light in the sky and he rose higher and higher.
The Second watched, a smile formed as the thoughts reached out to him, but he did not answer. Not because he couldn't or wouldn't but because he knew Nraith did not expect an answer. His gaze lifts to where Nraith is looking and watches it, he feels it's draw, but it is not for him that it calls. He watches Nraith as he rises higher and higher.

They watched in silence as Nraith moved higher and higher. Rikki's thoughts on how beautiful Nraith was while flying, Ktal's on the moment before he moved from the library to outside.
I wish I knew how I did it....
I wish I could fly like that.....
How did it happen.....?
Where is he going.....?
Wish I....
Wish I....
Both sighed and as the sound faded, Ktal closed his eyes as that bluegreen ocean light surrounded them. His arm tightened around Rikki, then around air as she flashed from his side.
Rikki, looked around in delight as the light surrounded them, she reached out to touch the glow. As she reached, she instead found her hand resting on a ridge, part of Nraith's neck. She gasped, scrambling as she tried to gain purchase on his back. A second later, half draped, half clinging, she looked up at the sky and down at Ktal.
"whoa....', she breathed nearly silently as she felt another updraft take Nraith. "oh boy..."

Feeling her suddenly on his back brought him out of the seeming trance he'd found himself in. He stopped climbing higher, though marked that star in his mind.
::Whoa.. what's going on? how did you get up here?::
He didn't see the bluegreen light from high above them and leveling out he circled before starting down again, the odd thermal lifting him before he would go continue to circle down. That was weird. He felt weird at that moment still, and wondered what just happened. Inwardly he shudders, but pushes it aside as his rider gets comfortable on his back.

She grinned as she settled more steadily upon his back, looking around as she answered his question. "I don't know. I was watching you and wishing I knew where you were going and, I thought of being here with you." She laughed briefly before adding, "...and then I was."
He could feel her give a slight shrug. "Where were you going, you just.....left." He could feel the pout too, and the curiousity as she looked upward and around them.
"It's a nice night" she ventured. It looked like he was just...going up, and....what's up, but the sky? What's beyond the sky?
That thought gave her pause.

The Second watched in silence as he went up, then as the girl appeared on his back and started once more to come down and wondered how long he would be able to resist the persistent call he knew the dragon could feel. The Second also wondered why the call was coming now. What was there that he felt the need to try and rise to it. It made the Second curious, but cautiously so.
How could he explain what he was feeling? He didn't even know why or how he felt it. He had not felt it before that pulsing star seemed to reach out to him. He could feel it even now.
As he circled down he listens to Rikki, wondering how she did it, or was it Ktal again. He would have to find out and Ktal would have to learn quickly how to control it if indeed it was him.
::Yes it is a very nice night.:: Yes, he intentionally avoided the question, something he knew his young rider would not let slip.
Reaching the ground he lands, then as Rikki slides of his back he shifts back to the human form and they move back to Ktal. "Did you send her up to me?" it was a question, not an accusation ,and Ktal would hear the curiosity in his voice.

She pouted again, pretending to let it slide but the touch of her voice to his mind spoke differently. ~I don't know why you won't tell me, you know I will keep asking, you might as well tell me~
She moved away from him as he walked towards Ktal. She should not say anything, she tried to not ...say...anything. But it didn't mean she couldn't think it.
::~Rikki?~:: Ktal began to ask, but Nraith' question brought him back to Nraith. "What? Oh, no...I... I think I was trying to stop it. I felt....it seemed, as if I felt her .... it sounds ..strange, but I felt her disappear. Is that what happened to me?"
Ktal was genuinely concerned and completely lost as to why it happened with him and did he ...somehow...put Rikki upon Nraith?
Rikki, meanwhile, giving them half an ear decided to try another tack. And the look she gave to Nraith told him she meant business. He was not going to brush her off again. He wanted her to learn, he needed to teach and not be so selective. After all, what affected him, affected her.

He watched Rikki move away, then looked to Ktal, smiling,
"Its not a bad thing or at least it doesn't have to be a bad thing. You just need to learn to control it rather than it being random, because random isn't good" he chuckles and ruffles the boy's head.
He did see the look from Rikki and hear the voice in his mind, ::If I knew young rider, I would tell you. But I cannot express what I cannot adequately explain:: he sighs a little though keeps it inward. He would do what he could to keep this from affecting her, and though it seemed right now only directed at his kind regardless of the bond, she would not need to worry about it.

Ktal breathed a sigh of relief. If he could figure it out, maybe he could learn how to control it. But still the question of how Rikki managed to get just on Nraith gave him pause. He looked at her, thoughful. Rikki, meanwhile, was looking at Nraith. At his words she spoke, "You sound like him," she gave a half gesture to Ktal, for both your words were much the same for both her questions. Ktal didn't know how he did what he did, Nraith didn't know how he did what he did. She sighed sharply and for a moment thought, it was the same as home, no one wanted to tell her anything. At the thought, she could see the center square, Sahira's home, the field Ash and she would hide in and the river nearby. Unexpectedly she had a brief longing for the familiar, everything now was so different and she liked it, but at that moment she wanted something she was sure of. Even if it was bad. As the thoughts pressed into her mind, as Ktal and Nraith watched, she was surrounded by the light and disappeared from their view. Ktal jumped up, running to where she had been a second before. "Rikki!!" **** Rikki seeing the light squeezed her eyes shut, flinching a bit as she heard sound echoing around her. The wind blew against her as she opened her eyes. She gasped, falling to her knees. "oh no....no no.....no, no, no, no." She whispered as she began to tremble. The torched village lay before her. Everything she remembered lay in ruins. As she scanned the area, she saw what appeared to be several bodies burned beyond recognition laying near the center square. "no, no, no, no...." she continued to whispered as inside she called, "Nraith! Ktal..." ((ooc...she teleported back to the village, it being destroyed by those meanie dragons....))
