Kez woke a couple of days later. It truly had been a long and draining trip for him. His large eyes looking about as he could see preparations were complete.
He moves from where he slept, his large dragon form shuffling along to where a large meal of dusua were left for him. 4 of the beasts in total, and he ate each one, enjoying them and satisfying his hunger.
He felt Ashur coming and lifts his head craning it out as Ashur turns the corner and walking right into his face. Kez chuckled as Ashur growled, then laughed.
"I should have known better!" he got to his feet, and laughed more, "preparations have been completed. I still don't like this Kez.
Kez nods to his objection, "Yes I know, but he is expecting me, and why disappoint the dragon?" his gruff growl of words flowed through his maw. He understood Ashur's objection, but he needed to do this. There were few that lived who could fight Gelithron with the possibility of defeating him, and he was one of them.
He shifts to his human form and changes clothing, putting on fresh clothing, then whispering words that were ancient and old, hiding his dragon scent completely from magics and shadow.
"Tabith is ready to go?" Ashur nods reluctantly, "Yes, she is." Kez put his hand on Ashur's shoulder gave it a squeeze but did not speak.
then he stepped out, Tabith joining him as he picked up the pack and set it outside. "We will fly most of the way there." she nods softly, He touches her cheek with fondness, oh that he were younger, he would take her as a mate.
he shifts to dragon and she picks up the pack and climbs on his back, holding also his staff as both are secured to him.
then with the beat of his large wings he rises into the air, turning he heads east and north. It will take them 2 days to get to their destination, then another 2 to walk to his lair. His senses stretched out far so that he would know if he was crossing paths with another dragon and could go around and stay out of their senses.
Concern touched his mind as he flew. He felt the stirring deep below the earth and wondered what brought it on. It was more than just the shaking of the ground.
Tabith felt his concern and touches his neck in comfort. She didn't know what it was about, but she would not speak of it while he flew.
He was even more concerned about this encounter. There was no way to tell if Gelithron would not try to enslave him and Tabith. Their minds were stronger than most humans, he had trained Tabith from the day she was a small child to use the abilities of her mind and to stretch them. He would play along for a short time if need be, but he would see how the encounter went. He must first determine that the two women and the child were indeed there.
The flight would be long and as the sun descended beyond the horizon he would land and they would make camp. He would shift to human form and they would sleep in the same tent in case someone came upon them, then he could say she was his mate and none would be able to argue. Sleep came to them both. And when morning came, the day seemed to repeat itself until he reached the destination where they would continue on foot the rest of the way.
He will not yet tell Gelithron he was coming. He would wait.

He had retired to his sleeping chamber, beckoning the newest of his slavegirls to tend to him. She openly shuddered in horror, but could do nothing but obey. The door closed, but all remained oddly quiet inside the room.
hours passed, and one came in from outside, the door opened before he got there and as the door closed he spoke to Gelithron.
"He comes Master and he brings his mate"
Gelithron grinned at that, nodding, "Thank you"
he did nothing at that moment, but continued with what he was doing. The girl was getting new skin on her right hand. He had skinned her hand to her wrist, removed her fingernails and shadow was melding the new skin to her body, sewing it to her own flesh was the skin of a Dusua. It was a rough skin on one side of the body and scaly on the the other. The scales would be on the back of her hand. She had passed out shortly after he started to skin her hand, using a blade and his own steady hand. When she passed out he woke her up and has kept her awake during the whole process. Her mind cut off from the rest, her voice magically removed from her body. she would no longer speak aloud.
As the shadow was doing it's job he looked into her fear filled eyes, nodding, "Yes my pet, you will receive the eyes of a Fazoq" He chuckled. She would be the first female he would change, even if only slightly. She would feel every cell begin disengaged from her body and then every new cell sealing itself to her as well. The agony would be excruciating, especially when he took out her eyes and put in the new ones. It would be cruel to keep her conscious for that, but he was preparing her mind as well. The agony would change her as it does most, into what would be up to her.
He sent to Airis to capture a Fazoq, but bring it back alive. And set it in the same room as Mairath. He would have company very soon.
The shadow would not join to her as it had the others, it was simply a tool.
He sent for Nuwolf, who entered his Master's sleeping chamber, "Take her to join Mairath, chain her to the wall by her collar and chain the other wrist as well so she does not try to rip her new skin off" He holds up a finger to stop Nuwolf from leaving at that moment and a tendril of shadow rises to her lips. He speaks, "use your teeth to try and rip the new skin off" she would eagerly try, as she lifts her hand to her lips the shadow seal her mouth, only lowering it to her lap will unseal her mouth, she whimpers and silently pleads with Gelithron to allow her to sleep, he nods, grins, "You will once you are secured, but you will dream of your new eyes and anything else you desire. Then you will tell me and I will grant you what you desire"
He nods to Nuwolf who escorts her out. To any who see her walking she appears to be fine except that her mind is cut off from everyone and her face stained with tears and one hand, the one held gently by Nuwolf, is covered in shadow as are her lips. He walks her to the other side of the cavern, down a short dark hallway and into a room where he does as told and secures her to the wall sitting on the floor. as soon as her other wrist is secured she passes out.
Gelithron steps out, looking distracted and moving to the cave entrance, pausing though he looks back, "Eavi, come, You will ride with me tonight"
he steps out, shifting to his dragon form, waiting for his girl to mount his back. It was time to see this one who was coming for a visit with his Mate. Obviously he planned to be gone for a while if he brought her. He chuckles, he just might be.

((ooc..he is one evil sick...so and so..))
(bic)
Eavi watched silently as the young woman passed. It was evident he was growing more and more demented and thought of greater and greater tortures. She shivered slightly then pushed aside the sympathy and stiffened her mind. She would not allow sympathy or compassion to deter her. Once she did that....she felt she'd lose what she'd gained. She couldn't risk it. Not now. Not yet.
When he called, she inhaled a long slow breath and gathered a jacket. 'Yes Master." she said quickly moving to him and bowing slightly before she eased upon his back.
This skin scraped raw against her thighs, but she gently stroked his neck as if in the greatest pleasure. A jacket was thrust into her hands by one of the other slaves and she quickly drew it on. It would be the only protection from the cold air that would buffet her.

((He is.. that's why he must die lol))
They walked together, talking very little. By now Gelithron would know he was on his way. He knew the Beast would meet them as there was no way possible for humans to get to his lair without help.
::Tabith, come here::
he set his staff down and took her hands, smiling into her eyes
::Are you still ok with this?:: she smiles and nods, ::Yes, I am. I will be fine.:: her affection for him was strong, but she never acted on it as much as she wanted to.
He released one hand and they walked hand in hand as they neared the place where he knew they would meet Gelithron. He didn't prepare her for what the beast may look like or how he would act. He wanted her responses to be genuine.
Arriving there they set up camp and waited. starting a fire, then sitting together as she prepared their evening meal.

He enjoyed the caress of her hand on his neck and purred in response to it, then rose into the air. it would take a couple of hours for them to reach the old man and his mate. He knew how much you hated flying with him, but he enjoyed having you on his back.
He rose with ease into the air and heads west. The sun was getting ready to set. They would have a camp set up there when he arrived. Then he would bring them to the lair to take a look at.. almost ..everything. And perhaps they would 'discover' a new home there. He chuckled outwardly at his own thoughts. Stupid old man.
He turned his thoughts towards Eavi, ::Beautiful sunset tonight.:: almost as beautiful as her, he thought to himself. He will have to make her his second mate soon. Perhaps the next time he took her to his sleeping chamber. Perhaps it would be tonight.
He would see, there was much happening in the lair. Mairath would be ready soon to begin to learn the shift and each animal he would shift into. Well the unearthly version of that beast, slightly modified by his own genius ((Sick lol) mind.
The flew farther and he could see the fire set up at the meeting place and began to circle lower until he lands near them.
As Eavi climbs off, he shifts to his human form and makes his way towards his newest acquisitions, he couldnt help himself. It was too easy once they were there, they would have no way of getting out. He didn't even have to collar them or bind himself to them. Of course as he laid his eyes on Tabith his lust rose for her. He may have to try her out.

As she climbed from his back, she averted her gaze enough from him that he didn't see the look of pain that cross her face. All he could feel was placid contentment from her.
It was only when she turned as he headed to the other two that she allowed herself to quickly scan around, noticing tiny and great things.
This time, the smallest was the greatest. She saw him, again seeing the man in her mind. It was him. Help had come.
In the end, she knelt where her master indicated, waiting in silence for him to call her.

Kez could feel the lust coming from him, and would risk exposing himself to protect Tabith, but he didn't think it would come to that. He had enough in place to protect her.
He watches as Gelithron lands and shifts, not moving from his spot and keeping Tabith close by. As Gelithron approached he nods to the dragon, but his gaze is caught by the young woman he brought with him. Oh good she was still safe. Her and the others would be safe and out of Gelithron's grasp soon enough.
"Greetinge Gelithron"
He watched the dragon shifting and walking to him, noting the element of shadow that seemed to follow him even without being noticed by most. He could see and feel it present, he could taste the bitter darkness and wondered how they lived with that and it did not corrupt them? Though he was sure it had corrupted some, just to what extent?
Tabith remained calm, she had Kez with her and smiled softly to Eavi, though she also remained silent.

He stepped up to the old man and his mate, looking the two of them over. He notices the old man's gaze has turned to his slave
"She is beautiful" nodding with a grin, he glances back to Eavi and pats his side, "Come girl" talking to her like a pet not a being worthy of respect.
He waited until she was by his side
"So you had a good journey Old man? Do you still hold to your Master's will though he is dead and gone?"
Kez so wanted to show him he wasn't dead, but he just smiles softly, nodding, "Yes I do. My family is loyal and my future family will also be loyal" he gave a look and a grin to Tabith who blushed in the presence of Another but grinned also, her hand squeezing his.
Gelithron was annoyed by this, the old mage was gone, why were they still so loyal? He shook his head, "Come we will return to the lair" He turned and was about to walk away.
Kez shook his head, "In the morning, Yes, but we will not break camp while it is still dark" He spoke with a tone, an assertiveness and authority that was unmistakable, and even Gelithron had to agree, nodding
"Agreed" Kez pointed to a second shelter that had been erected, "you and yours may sleep in there tonight" It was clear he didn't care if this was a dragon he would not be pushed around.
He gave a gentle nod and smile to Eavi, "Hello girl, I'm Kez, this is my mate Tabith" he was pleased to finally meet her.</i>

She'd kept a carefully blank face as she stood by him, feeing the grip on her wrist tighten as Kez told him they were not leaving until the next day. A brief light hit her eyes as she turned them to Kez.
She bowed her head briefly towards him, seeming to ignore the woman. She knew her master had nothing good planned for the two and if she showed any sign of interest it would be her head that would suffer first.
Gelithron could feel the shudder that swept through her body, and she knew he believed it to be fear. But Kez, as he looked at her saw what she allowed him to see. That openness deep into her eyes that her master had failed to notice, blinded as he was by his own ego and power.

He saw everything he needed to see and smiles, rising from his place he motions to Gelithron
"Come, let us walk"
Gelithron didn't want to, but he did, moving alongside this human slave of a dead dragon. He didn't look back to Eavi, but sent to her ::You may converse with the man's mate. For now you are released from service::
Kez intentionally took him away from Eavi. This was even better than he had hoped, the one he had seen that day was here. Tabith would speak with her. Gelithron would never know what was said.
"So you say you have other slaves Gelithron?" Kez was nonchalant, and casual, as though it was normal and acceptable
Gelithron chuckled, "Yes, infact I have just acquired 7 more. Two males, who are take two of the females as their slaves, a woman and her son. The woman, while my slave is also my mate, and another female and male that I have special plans for" he chuckled cruelly and looked to Kez "How many does your Master have?"
Kez thought a moment, "Well including myself, he has 10. Tabith I guess you would consider my slave as she is my mate. He takes no part in her" Gelithron nods, "You do not allow it?" Kez chuckled, "My Master gave me his word, so when he thinks to take pleasure in her body I remind him of his word to me. I have only had to do that once"
Kez took them out of view of the women and out of ear shot.
Tabith smiles to Eavi, motioning her to come over, "I am glad you are here. The men get so boring. I trust you are well." to her mind she reaches out, ~We are here to help~ smiling softly, serving up a bowl of stew for Eavi, "Here you must be hungry" she didn't take no for an answer, for a slave she certainly spoke with the authority of a Mistress.

"Yes, Master" she murmered soflty with bowed head when he spoke. She kept silent and still until the two men walked away and she was left with Tabith.
As she felt the soft touch of voice to her mind, her eyes darted up to look into the other womans eyes. Her own eyes flickering with a slight nod. It was only when the woman thrust a bowl of stew to her did she realize how hungry she was.
Hunger overcame hesitancy as she looked at the bowl, inhaling deeply of the delicious aroma. "Yes," she said quietly as she took the bowl. It was slow that she spooned a taste, slower still that she brought the spoon to her lips. Utter stillness as she scooped the bite into her mouth and savoured the taste.
A soft sigh of pleasure was felt in the around her as she tasted the first bit of real stew in longer than she could remember. Not thin and watery, not lacking meat and vegetables...it was food as she rememberd and she held stiil as she liquid trickled down her throat.
~so good...~ she smiled at the other woman as she took another bite, and forcing herself to eat slowly.

Tabith watched Eavi eat, realizing just how badly they all had been treated and poorly fed. It caused her heart to ache and she got angry. Kez could feel the anger and it made him smile as he and Gelithron continued to walk. Kez not saying much as Gelithron went on about his own 'merits' and bragging of the things he had done.
Tabith ate her stew slowly, finishing off the bowl that she had started before they arrived. Watching Eavi she could see why Kez decided to help, to get involved. It was never a secret what Gelithron was doing to his slaves, but she seemed different. Stronger in mind. Her ability to ride the link without Gelithron aware was amazing, but then Eavi's people were amazing.
"How long have you been with Gelithron?" she rose to start to clean up. She was taller than most of your own people, and while her facial features were similar, it was clear to a student of observation that she was not of your people and yet.. she seemed familiar to you, though it would not become apparent why until they arrived at the lair - the eyes, the confidence, the quiet knowing that things are not always as they seem and the comforting smile - all had a certain familiarity that would not be apparent until she was in the lair and the two women were together again.
she knelt by a bucket of water to clean the few bowls they had brought with them, her eyes shifting as she did though her head did not lift ~things will be put into motion that will bring your Master down, but they may not seem apparent right away. Be patient and draw on the strength you have gained. You must trust Kez even when it seems he is doing nothing~ she smiles at that last thought given to you, even now after hundreds of years, she still didn't understand his ways, but she trusted him fully knowing when it seemed he slept he was always doing so much more. ~Gelithron has even set things in place that will aid in his downfall. His arrogance and power has blinded him. When he does finally see, it will be too late but he will lash out at those around him~
She could feel them coming back towards the camp but she had to add that last part in, an ominous warning that it was going to get worse before it got better. She would share with you what she could when she could, as would Kez - maybe, he didn't often share until it was absolutely necessary usually leaving everyone wondering if he really knew what he was doing.
And they came around the corner, she smiled at the sight of Kez, her gaze on him for a moment then lowering it once more to the task at hand.
Gelithron frowned, "My slave is here, you should not.. " Kez cut him off, "Tabith will attend to the camp. Your slave only need tend to you." Gelithron looked at him, and relented, "As you wish old man" he seemed out of sorts around this.. slave.. and he was beginning to question if he wanted him in his lair, but it was set in motion and he would fulfill his word.
Tabith finished tidying up the camp and returned to Kez's side, sitting next to him a soft smile resting on her lips.
Kez looked to Eavi as Gelithron sat next to her and taking Eavi's bowl before she was even finished and filled it again and began to eat. He had a cruel grin on his face when he did it and clearly Kez did not approve as he watched but he did not say anything.
After a few moments he rose, "Come Tabith, we will sleep" Kez rose and Tabith next to him. He was taller than her and it became apparent now, though not by much only a few fingers-width taller, taking her hand "Sleep well Gelithron. It was a pleasure to meet you Eavi" his eyes said more than his words had, but Gel was too busy eating to catch it.
Then they turned and holding open the flap to their tent he allowed Tabith to enter first, then closed it behind himself as he entered.
As they lay there Tabith spoke through the bond they shared, ::I have told her what I could for now. While we are there we will teach her more about the strength of her mind and the strength she can gather from the link to Dragonkind.:: Kez wrapped his arms around her and nods ::She is already strong of mind. She would make an excellent rider:: he chuckled lightly as Tabith elbowed him, ::And you really think after what Gel has done to her she would want to be around Dragons?:: she laughed softly as well, shaking her head and closing he eyes. He pinched her waist causing her to yelp and laugh. While it was put on for Gelithron, it was also genuine as the old Dragon was beginning to realize the treasure he had with him. ::Rest dear Tabith. What you will see will be difficult:: she sighs softly ::I know:: and they both slept, though he remained aware, He had set up wards of protection around the tent - Gelithron and his shadow could do nothing to them.
Gelithron finished his bowl, tossing it in the water he scowls. His mood was souring. He did not like this old man anymore, he would have to find away to ensnare him and make him his own slave. He would enjoy torturing him. "Come" he rose and without looking back he went to the tent that was set up for them and entered, knowing that she would be right behind him.

Eavi kept silent as she listened and ate. Knowing each bite was precious, she savored each morsel. "Since I have been keeping count, three years. I do not remember how long before that. Time...." she shook her head, the stricken look in her eyes telling of time lost to despair and sheer desperation in survival.
"There were several of us, the others are dead now." She wiped her fingers on her shirt, then roughly ran those fingers through her hair. "I've not thought of it for some time...long time." What she couldn't change she put out of her mind. It was the only way to survive.
Almost unseen a shiver ran through her body as she remembered those first ..times. How every moment blended into another until time ceased to have meaning. She felt him come near as Tabith encouraged her with the mental words and her eyes flashed up in acknowledgement to the other woman.
Eyes that lowered quickly as he returned, taking the bowl from her. She let the sounds of Tabith moving and Kez's words wash over her, allowing herself to seem smaller than she was. She kept up the image as he grew more angry. She knew more clearly than anyone here how fine trigger his temper could be.
A temper she did not want turned on her this night. She swiftly followed him, letting the flap of tent fall behind her, leaving her alone in the shadowed tent. Alone, with him.

Gelithron was disturbed by how this..man.. spoke to him. He frowned as he lay next to Eavi. She was fortunate, he was not interested in even holding her tonight, in fact he lay with is back to her. Though nothing had really happened it was more how he felt when the old man spoke. He had to be forced into servitude to him. What was his Master going to do? Come from the grave and destroy him? He laughed to himself. He may be the only one capable of doing it, but he was not immortal. He believed the old Dragon to be dead. He struggled to sleep and finally he did, but the events of the night disturbed him.
Kez had worried about Eavi, but he could tell by Gelithron's lack of sound that he left the girl alone. This was good. He took a breath and held a little tighter to Tabith who shifted lightly against him. She is a good woman he thought. He was glad she chose to remain. He did not bond to her except at her request, which he thought was odd. Tabith had shared with him her conversation with Eavi and it made him think and wonder. He would not be able to do anything for a few days after getting there. Tabith and Sefra would work with her mind and he would distract Gelithron to ensure success. Her survival counted on it.
He finally slept, but troubled by what happen. He woke as the sun, unseen by them, began its journey into the sky. sliding away from Tabith he stepped out of the tent and moved to the river near by where he drank and washed, waiting for the rising sun. Oh how he missed the sun on his scales. He longed to be able to out in the open rather than hiding because it was not yet time for them to see he was still alive.
Sooon.
Tabith stirred a short while later after he had returned to the camp and started the fire to heat up the morning meal. Tabith washed as well, then returned to the camp, smiling as she joined his side. the morning meal was already being prepared when Gelithron and Eavi woke. Kez was silent and Tabith went about getting the camp ready to be packed.
Once the meal was ready she moved to the fire and dished out bowls, handing one to Kez and Gelithron first, then to Eavi. Gelithron was about to object when Kez looked at him. He did not stop Eavi from eating, but the old man would pay for humiliating him like this. Tabith took her own bowl and they ate for now in silence.
But it was silence that was killing Gelithron and making him more and more angry.

She lay stiffly upon her back, wating for him to sleep. It was only when he grudgingly fell asleep did she allow herself to lightly drift off. Her sleep was broken with the feeling that the morrow would bring horrors. A feeling that failed to fade as the night slipped into morning.
When she finally dozed into a light sleep, the night was nearly done.
As the morning broke, and she joined the others to break their fast, she could not hide the trembling she felt as she took the bowl. The impending danger she felt was heightened as she saw his reaction.
Both in an attempt to appease him, and because she could not think of eating a full meal, she barely tasted the food. With only a few bites to slake her hunger, she bowed her head and offered him the bowl.
