He grinned as she hardly ate. He would reward her later for that small but significant act. Taking her bowl from her as she offered it he glared at Kez who resisted the urge to roll his eyes and simply shook his head as he ate.
Kez could see the fear in Eavi, he could taste it and wondered what horrors were waiting them at the lair. He rose after eating and started to take down the rest of the camp. Tabith remained by the fire as he did his part. Once they were done he packed them up, storing a few items in packs they would take with them, then taking the rest and hiding it in a hole he had dug years before and covered the rest of it.
"We are ready" he bowed to Gelithron as Tabith rose to her feet and put the fire out, spreading out the coals so the rest of them would go out.
Gelithron nods, rising to his feet, "Come" he spoke to all three of them, not looking back until he was at a distance he could shift and waited for the three of them to climb on his back. They let Eavi climb on first, the Tabith behind her and finally Kez. This was going to be weird, a dragon riding a dragon.
One they were on and the two packs were secure he rose into the air, rising higher. Tabith touched Eavi's mind where Gelithron could not hear or know ~You will be alright Eavi, I promise. He will be dealt with before we leave here. You will be welcome to come with us or return to your family~ she hugged the girl a little tighter. There was something significantly different about her, but no one, not even Kez knew what it was yet.
Tabith smiled, she had a carefully guarded secret. One that would severely tip the balance in the lair against Gelithron.

Eavi nodded as the other woman spoke to her, leaning ever so slightly back and into her embrace. She'd seen the satisfaction Gelithron had shown when she'd given the bowl to him. Hiding a smile deep inside as he'd reacted as she'd expected.
As Tabith held to her, she allowed herself to relax slightly, finding that still quiet place inside herself. A place no one ever touched. A place her master would not recognize if he saw it.

Kez held onto Tabith, he knew she was different in many ways. Tabith leaned into him as Eavi leaned into her as they rose higher and started towards the lair. She knew she would have to reveal herself fully at the time of confrontation. Just as she knew Kez would be angry at her from keeping it from him. But it had to be, she knew to reveal it earlier would have changed plans upon plans, and it had to happen as it would. She had to wonder if he would take her back and allow her to remain with him once it was revealed.
She pushed it aside and tucked it deep.
For a brief moment Kez felt the worry and wonder ::Are you ok Tabith?:: he asked through the bond, she nods softly ::I am fine, yes. I am just not sure what to expect when we get there:: he nods at that as well, he was curious also, he felt that Gelithron was hiding something but he did not know what it was only that it would be a horrifying revelation of his true nature. He gave Tabith a comforting squeeze.
Gelithron flew back quickly. It would take less time at his current speed. The sun was high and he hated the sun, choosing to stay within the cloud or just below it. Everything would change for his two new guests once they arrived.
He sent ahead, thoughts flowing to Airis and Nuwolf to prepare the slave pens for two new unsuspecting arrivals. But they would not be thrown into them right away. He had to give the appearance of cooperation.
He got confirmation from Airis that they were ready as he drew closer. He could see the mountain that held his lair even now. He also got more confirmation, ~:Master, your creations are ready as well. Garihel and Mairath await your return.:~
He grinned even wider, those on his back could feel his great pleasure at what was waiting for him back at the lair. He touched Garihel's mind, ~:Pet, how do you feel?:~ he could feel her sorrow, she replied ~:Well, but filled with sorrow. What have I done to displease you so?:~ he chuckled, ~:This is a gift my sweet Garihel. I will be there shortly and we will speak more when you are before me:~ her mind remained open only to him. He touched Mairath's mind as well, letting him know his Master was near and he would be before him soon enough.
Oh yes, this dragon was pleased with himself.
Time seemed to pass slowly as they drew near the ledge outside his lair. On the ledge Airis and Nuwolf could be seen waiting to escort their "guests" inside and to where they would sleep.
He lands and Kez gets off first, then helps Tabith and Eavi off also before Nuwolf pulled off their packs.
Gelithron shifts and takes Eavi by the hand, gripping it tightly and whispering to her ear, "You did well my pet. Go to my chamber. I will be there soon to reward you" as he released her hand he licked her ear and purred into her mind as he moved past her and to the chamber Tabith and Kez were in.
Kez and Tabith were shown to their sleeping chamber. It was small, but comfortable. There was a door and Kez had to wonder why. He chuckled though, his senses reaching out searching for traps and spells that may eventually entrap them. He did withdrew his senses as he felt Gelithron come to them
"This is a fine lair you have Gelithron. And find slaves as well. You must be proud." Gelithron grinned and nods, "Get comfortable. This will provide you with privacy so you can be alone with your mate" he grins wickedly, Kez wondered, did he know? It didn't matter. They were here now.
"Do I get a tour of this grand lair you have here?" he fed the Dragon's ego as he spoke.
Gelithron thought of Eavi waiting for him, but his ego seemed to need stroking and he nods, "Of course. Come with me"
he turned and left, Kez looks to Tabith and then follows him out. Tabith also follows, but she does not go with them, she heads to the fire in the center.
Sefra felt them draw near and enter. She left Fedrith in the sleeping chamber she now shared with Eavi, and moved to the fire.
Airis also entered the main chamber from his own, and the three of them were drawn to the same fire where a girl was serving out three bowls of stew. The resemblance between the three was now evident. Airis had been careful, but now it was evident they were of the same race, even if it seemed fleeting unless one was looking for something they would seem different after a blink of an eye.
Sefra arrived first, then Airis and finally Tabith. The girl looked at them and they all smiled to her, Sefra spoke, "Feed our guest first" at which time the food was presented to Tabith, then Sefra, then Airis.
Without looking at each other they remained silent - outwardly.
Airis started ~It is good to see you Sister. I'm glad you were able to come with him.~
Tabith ate as she replied ~It would have been the making of disaster if I had not. He was easy to convince.~
Sefra glanced to Eavi as she passed and headed to his chamber, offering a comforting smile as she replied to them ~He is still unaware you are the same?~
Tabith ate again, ~He is unaware. It has been difficult keeping it from him.~ her unease was evident only to the three of them. she set the food down, it was horrible, but they did well with what they were given. She too watched Eavi a moment ~she is strong. We do not have long to teach her.~
Sefra nods imperceptible to anyone not right there as Airis leaves ~We will start tonight when we are asleep~
Tabith turns to Sefra, smiling to her, speaking softly this time, "It is good to see you Sister" Sefra smiled back and hugged Tabith tightly, "It is good to see you as well. You have been missed greatly." they sat close and talked in whispers as well as in thought - two different conversations for two completely different purposes.
Gelithron and Kez move along as they go on a tour of the lair. The only room not shown at this point is his experiment room. He takes Kez into the bowels of the mountain where slaves work to mine gold. Their guardians remain hidden, each one is wearing a collar of steel. He remembered those and frowns. They were cruel. He had not seen one on Eavi, but then if Gelithron trusted her then he would not need one.
He wondered at the mental control this beast had on his slaves. How closely bond were they to him? This troubled him more but he hid it.
As they returned to the main lair Sefra and Tabith were still at the fire. Gelithron was blinded by his own arrogance and could not see their similarities. He went to her and drew Sefra close, and Kez went to Tabith drawing her to himself as he would a mate. He did see the similarity between the two women but showed it not.
Then the felt something tugging at the edge of his memory. He looked to Gelithron to see if he felt as well, but the dragon was blind to it.
it was there, but he could not remember what ...
The First watches in silence from the darkness. The First was hidden even to the shadow dragon and it watches. All was in place and this would be the first place they would be revealed, not by The First coming out, but by those within the lair itself - Sefra, Airis and Tabith, chosen for this moment, even Fedrith. The First smiles. Each of them different, yet each of them the same.
The First briefly touches Tressel's mind, it was nearly time in the Caverns far below. She would let the First know when the full revealing had happened, then here it would begin.
The Second and Third also were made aware. In unison the four shared with each other ~It begins~

She kept her gaze down as he whispered into her ear. The sound set her teeth on edge, yet her reply was properly demure and subservient. "Yes, my master"
She kept her gaze from the other slaves as she passed through the outer rooms. It was only when she neared the fire that her gaze flickered up and she saw the trio.
One by one, she met their glances, a slight acknowledgement in her own. A slight tingle began to grow in her fingers, spreading through her body until it seemed as if she shook with fever.
As she entered his room, she inhaled deeply, shutting the door behind her. A breath. Two. Three. Four. She continued to count until she heard his footsteps and felt his presence on the other side of the door.
Quickly, she stepped away from the door, kneeling aside it as she waited for him to enter.

Gelithron left Kez, moved towards his sleeping chamber until Nuwolf stepped over to him getting his attention.
"Master, they are ready."
His grin widens and without a word he leaves the door to his chamber and heads across the lair towards the hidden room. It wasn't so much of a secret, just that no one knew where the door was.
Kez watched him from the fire where he sat with Tabith and Sefra, watching Gelithron leave what was intended and go to what could have waited. He nods to Sefra and Tabith who look to each other and through paths of the mind built by each as they communicated with her, they reach out to Eavi.
First it was Sefra, though Tabith's presence could be felt in her mind she was silent for the moment ~Eavi, he has been distracted. I know this is difficult to endure, but it will only be for a little bit longer before it has been settled. I can see you have already made compartments in your mind that he is unable to touch. That is good. You are strong of mind, but you have even greater abilities than you know.~
Tabith leaned into Kez as they spoke outwardly, her words were few, appearing as though she were distracted by the embrace of her mate. As Sefra finished she continued
~I know this seems alot, both of us. But You are able to do so much more. You travel the paths of the Dragonlink without him aware. Your presence has been felt and brought attention to this lair. And we have also felt his cruelty. He has bound himself to you in a way that is difficult to break. You must enclose it in a separate room. He will not notice the difference.~
she thought on that a moment, how can she explain it, looking to Kez who monitored the conversation. Then Sefra has an idea
~Imagine the bond you share with him as a boulder the same size as you. You must enclose that boulder in brick and morter within your mind, building walls and a roof over and around it. Though not too close to the boulder lest he fell it~
they held hope that she understood what they meant. She would have time as Nuwolf and Airis would keep him busy with his new creations for some time.
They remained in link with her, adding their strength to hers so that as she built the small room for the boulder it would be strong. Even Kez would add his strength of mind through Tabith. Senses remaining alert so that he knew when Gelithron left that room and came into the main hall.
~It will not nullify the bond, but it will weaken it a little. You must act as though his hold on you is absolute~ Just as Sefra does.
He enters the hidden room and moves to Mairath. His hand moving to untie the bonds that held his wrists and ankles together. Mairath's eyes opened and he growls softly making Gelithron grin.
"Yes my Beast, You are ready. It is complete. Tell me, how do you feel?"
He helped Mairath sit up, growls out the words, "Hungry, very hungry" he sighs as he closes his eyes, "And tired" He hadn't slept yet only rested as he waited for his Master to return.
Gelithron nods, grins, "Have you tried to shift?" Mairath looks at him and realizes he can feel a beast within him.
He stands unsteadily to his feet with Gelithron's help. nodding he closes his eyes and imagines the beast that was burned into his back. Shadow begins to envelope him and expand, the sound of bone and flesh snapping and ripping and tearing is heard. It is a terrifying sound that wakes Garihel who screeches in terror until Airis moves to her and gives her a reassuring look and wraps his arm around her in comfort. She calms down and closes her eyes rather than watching.
As the shadow recedes Mairath is now 12 feet tall and 4 feet wide. He is a death beast, a terror to behold and the smell of death is all over him. His legs and arms are powerful, though he can run on all four if he chooses. He roars loudly that shakes the items not nailed down in the room and black eyes look out at his Master. Gelithron nods
"You are a delight to my eyes" He grins widely, knowing the sight of him will invoke terror, the door opens, "Leave the lair to feed. Any slaves within this lair are off limits unless I feed them to you"
Mairath leaves the room and runs down the hall into the main chamber of the lair. Many scream in horror, but he ignores them and runs out of the room.
Sefra sees him, she knows who he is and draws back slightly from Eavi in pain. Tabith touches her arm slightly in comfort and Kez grows angrier, but Tabith encourages Eavi to continue and ignore what is going on for now. Sefra returned to the shared link, the sorrow was there, but she pushed it back so it would not be a hinderance.
Inside the room again Gelithron, having released the Deathbeast, turns now to Garihel who is released by Airis as Gelithron speaks,
"Here girl"
pointing to a spot before his feet. She rose unsteadily to her feet, Airis removes the chain from her collar and she steps to him and kneels where he points. Her head is down as his hand moves over the soft feathers, then lifts her chin to look into those large red eyes
"You are beautiful my Garihel, my Fazoq Girl" she gave a soft hoot in reply. He released her mind so that others could touch her and she could reach out to others. She felt it and let out a soft hoot of relief. "And you will learn to fly."
He was serious, she nods softly hooting again. If she could cry, she would be crying at that moment. She had even forgotten what she used to look like. He takes her hand, the hand that had the skin of the Dusua attached, caressing it as he continued to gaze at her.
Oh she is indeed beautiful, though she has not seen it yet. her wings move a little in nervousness unable to look away from his dark evil eyes, held in their grip. she hoots softly in nervousness before she is able to leave his gaze. He gives her hand a squeeze, "Return to the others and help clean up after you eat."
Airis already has a meal specially prepared for her, her beak allowing for certain foods to be eaten a certain way.
she gave a soft hoot in compliance, but she didn't want to, she would be starred at and humiliated and felt sorry for. Rising she leaves the room, and heads into the main hall of the lair. As she enters it heads turn to look at her in horror at what had been done to her. Many looking away in sympathy. She blinks as a fazoq would. The inner lid closing across her eyes from the outside inwards, and then the upper lid coming down over the whole eye.
Gelithron grins from ear to ear. He was so proud of himself, so puffed up.
He stepped out and looked around, he couldn't help but smile. He did a good job. The DNA of both being changed as well so that any offspring born to them would be as they are. But why tell them that.
Kez watches her enter and he feels his anger rise even more and as Gelithron enters the room his eyes level and do not leave the dragon's. Gelithron laughs at the old man's disapproval.
"You disapprove Old Man? That is too bad." Tabith and Sefra looking to Garihel and then to Gelithron, though they are with Eavi as she builds wall around the bond.
Nuwolf stands behind him, but doesn't move. Airis is there as well. Gelithron laughs openly. "You may be next old man, so decided tonight what you and your mate wish to be and I may be kind and turn you both into them so that you can stay as mates. Tabith looks to Kez who gives her a reassuring squeeze. He doesn't speak though, not yet.
Not much of the wall would be built, but enough to give her a little more freedom of her heart.

She understood.
It was, she felt, similiar to what she'd done with that length of shadow she'd taken from him. She knew when it touched her, great evil would be done with it, and carefully tucked it away lest it use and consume her. Perhaps she could use it to her advantage, perhaps to consume him...but then, wasn't he already?
As their thoughts brushed into her mind, she pulled herself away from the outer senses, focusing intently upon the inward.
Find a room. Enclose him in. Hide even deeper than before. Hide Eavi.
She slowly began to feel that weightlessness within her body, followed as it was by a sharp pain of fire deep within. The touch, seeming to burn and cool at the same time, warmed her within. The flame felt deeply throughout her brought with it a pleasant sweetness, a sweetness she grasped and held to her.
Slowly she let it ease through her, knowing he could not come near her inner soul as long as she was filled thusly. That would be the walls, she decided. He knew it was there, had always known, that was why he kept her as he did. Always wanting to destroy that part of her soul, he couldn't touch, but could feel within her.
She grasped at the strength they offered, slowly focusing and building up a container around the part of him that resided within. The shaking that had started to diminish, rose up, engulfing her in waves. Her breath caught and froze as she saw through his eyes the creatures he'd created. She felt pain, sorrow.....loss. Blended with it in weaving patterns were lust, joy...hunger and rage.
"No....", she tensed, her body growing ever still until she regained the former control, resolute in completing the task the others had set for her.
The images of the creatures faded as she also began to form a shield around her mind. The sight of them could cause nothing but casual interest. Not horror. Not sadness. Nothing she knew he would be looking for. Nothing he would expect.
As she moulded the final shield in place she murmered softly to them, though she knew the creatures would not recognize it for what it was. "I'm sorry" before she closed them from her mind and sight.
Sefra, Tabith and Kez would know she had tried as she could to do what they'd asked. The could also feel the trembling she'd fought against.
Help had come.
Death would fall.
Who would survive?

Tabith and Sefra smile as Eavi finishes. Their own strength were added to the shield around the bond, nodding to each other, then Tabith gives a look to Kez.
Kez sees it and knows it's done, he glares at Gelithron though, "Yes I disapprove. What gives you the right to do this to others?"
Gelithron approaches Kez who stands up. Both imposing men as they stand face to face, Gelithron growls out, "Because of what they did to our kind! Did your Master not pass on the stories and make his slaves know what they did to us?"
Kez blinks, looking at him confused, "They? These people are different than the humans that enslaved our kind! They are innocent, they did nothing to us except in response to our own hatred for anything that looks like them and is not Dragon or Dalhria. They came long after the others died off."
Gelithron growls and shadow begins to swirl around him. Tabith takes a hold of Sefra and moves her and Fedrith out of the way. Kez is not moved by this show if power. "You old man have no right to judge! Your Master changed out kind forever when he joined them with the humans and Dalhria!"
Kez now growls, which causes Gelithron's eyes to widen. His secret is out, "I did that because they came to me. It was the only way they would survive. If you would reach deep to your ancestral memories you would see that." He moved towards Gelithron, speaking still, "But you won't, because you will see how your kin like many others have fed you lies. You have to believe the lies don't you Gelithron? Otherwise what you have become would be in vain, then where would that leave you?"
Gelithron was feeling powerless. He called to Airis to take a hold of Kez and subdue him, but Airis stood back and did not respond. As he called for Nuwolf Airis used shadow to wrap around Nuwolf and hold him back, ~Brother, this is not our fight~ his eyes were different, as were Sefra's and Fedrith, even Tabith's, but Kez did not notice. Gelithron was furious, "What have you done? Who have you brought with you? Will you destroy yourself and them to prove a point?" He motioned to the slaves around the room.
Kez just smiled, he looks around and its at the point he notices the changes in Tabith, Sefra, Fedrith and Airis. They were not human or Dalhria, but.. he shook his head as the memory came rushing back.
~Yes Kez, remember~ came Tabith's soft voice in her mind, ~remember the truth of even who you are~
Gelithron saw Kez distracted and gave him a shove, sending him flying back into the far wall with a thud. Tabith did not move but only smiles.
Kez's mind moves back in time to when the "human" came to him and worked with him, helping him perfect his craft and knowledge. Then the joining. It was in the joining that the truth of what this "human" was is revealed. His words came softly at first, "Why was it hidden from me?" His gaze went to Tabith, she was sorrowful for a moment for not being able to tell him.
~You are dragon as well Tabith?~ he reached to her, she nods softly, Gelithron started at Kez again, tendrils of shadow reaching out to him, but as the realization of who he was came to him the shadow seemed to pass through him.
He begins to speak as Gelithron growls in frustration, words even he did not know, a language now only spoken in the depths is heard. Tabith closes her eyes basking in the sound of it, it has been years since she had heard it spoken - it was like music to her.
Gelithron found his shadow was withdrawing back to him as Kez continued to speak. When Kez finished speaking Gelithron had shifted and was reaching for Sefra and Fedrith, but they moved again. "I will not be denied what is mine!" He roared out the words and sent it through the link to everyone bonded to him, slaves in the chamber crumpled to their knees and covered their ears as though it would silence the screaming in their mind. Sefra hardly flinches having put the bond in a separate chamber and she hoped Eavi would be spared the full effect as well.
He reached over to grab Garihel, taking her in his front talons and moving to the entrance, he glared at Kez, "Get out of my lair" he threw the girl over the ledge ~learn to fly my little Fazoq!~ she let out a horrifying screech and starts to fall, she desperately tries to get her wings to work and slowly they do. She is too close to the ground but it does ease her impact causing her to land with a thud, but nothing was broken. she lay there for a time in shock, recovering.
Kez nods, "With pleasure Gelithron, but first you must release every slave from their bond." His eyes narrow, he wasn't moved by fact that Gel was in dragon form. Airis moves to Sefra and Tabith. Kez calls Eavi out of the chamber ~come girl, you will be free~
Gelithron grins, "I will free them alright" He starts to break each bond, some though have their minds broken in the process, not all, but some. Nuwolf sinks to the floor when his bond breaks, but his eyes narrow, and just as few of the others choose, ~I will not leave Master. You have given me a great gift and I will remain willingly to serve you~ This made Gelithron grin with pleasure.
Kez new that some would choose to stay, he could not force them, but atleast it was choice not by force. He knew this would not stop Gelithron completely, but he did what he had promised he would do and that was free those that were here.
Airis silently called his out and she rose and came to him. He removed the collar from her neck and spoke to her, ~You are free~ He never did join with her, he would not allow it, but they gave the impression that he did. He smiles, but she stays at his side without responding.
Gelithron motions to Nuwolf who climbs on his back and they exit, to all in the room he sends a single thought ~You have until I return to leave my lair. If you are here when I return and you do not bow to me, you will die a death more painful than any you have seen or felt~
He rose into the air flying north, his anger burned, his hatred for his own kind burned.
The First watches and smiles, Tabith, Sefra and Airis all look to him, they nod as he slips back into darkness. They were known, atleast by their own kin anyway.
Kez had a thousand questions, but he needed to get everyone who wanted to leave out of there. He looks to Tabith, "How many can you take my dear?" he grins at her and shakes his head, how had she kept it from him? He no longer asked why, he knew now why, she looks to those who were starting to gather, to them she sends ~we will make sure you are ok, you will not be left here~ she looks to Kez, "As many as I need to, but don't we have another way of getting them out?" his eyes widen, then he remembers the portal he used, nodding, "yes" He would prepare one, he didn't like them but in this case it was necessary.
~Ashur, prepare food, bedding, and there will be others with wounds~ Ashur smiles, ~ Yes Kez~ and those who willingly served Kez got busy, working to get everything ready. He didn't say how many, so he prepared for 15, better too many than not enough.
Garihel felt the bond to Gelithron break, her mind already broken it had little effect on her. She rose to her feet and started to move her wings, the soft beating as she lifts off the ground and rises back up to the lair. As she lands Kez sees her and moves to her ~I am sorry this happened to you young one. What he did in shade I cannot undo, I'm sorry, but we can help you learn and grow and adapt~ His hand touches her cheek, she nods and gives a soft hoot ~Thank you Kez, I accept your offer~ The young girl now part Fazoq would go with them.
Gelithron touches Eavi's mind even as he is far away, ~ I have released you, but I will not let you go my pet. I will find you and you will be mine again~ then he cut her from his mind for now as he figures out a way to get her back.

She felt his rage, heard it piercing her mind, yet it was muted as it'd not been before. Heaving a sigh of relief she rested against the wall. The sounds from the other chambers faded as she pushed the thoughts of what was happening away.
She couldn't think about it, wouldn't let herself ...until the screaming started and she felt her friends fall and writhe in pain.
She, too, fell. her knees striking sharply the cold stones upon which she stood.
But the expected pain did not come. The voices and cries from without faded completely as if they were scattered to the winds. Her arms had flung widely as she had fallen, the motion causing the candlelight to flicker wildly. Her breath slowed as the flames appeared to be frozen in mid flicker. The calls and voices from outside slowed and faded from her hearing. Time around her came to a standstill.
A breath. Two. The more as the flames continued to hold still. A small moth held midair, wings as still as the flickering light had become. She drew in another deep breath, then exhaled as she relaxed her body. A moment later she heard Kez's call.
Stunned, she moved to the door, slowly going without and seeing the others. She could clearly see they were not ..quite the same.
What could she get, what could she take?
"Nothing." came the voice of her closest friend. As much as friend as anyone could be with him nearby.
She knelt beside the other women, brushing back a tendril of hair. The womans eyes leeched blood, mingling with the blood that trickled also down from her ears.
"Sorcha, it will be ok". She smiled gently at the other woman, placing a light brush of a touch against her forehead. Sorcha breathed a smile as the touch brought an image of warm food, bright skies and wind gently blowing. "Smells...good." the woman said softly as she closed her eyes. The aroma of food, the dusting of wind against her seeming as real as if were really true.
Others, were they to notice the two would also smell, see and feel the same as Sash. A moment later, as one of the other slaves came to take Sorcha, Eavi moved her hand and sat back. The images, aromas, feelings faded.
She clapped her hand against her face as she felt his voice touch her mind. ~ I have released you, but I will not let you go my pet. I will find you and you will be mine again~
Her paled gaze took in Kez as she murmered softly, "He's not gone. He will return....whereever I am, he will come."
The pain in her stomach arced tenfold as she stood and moved to the ledges. Looking outward she faced the direction he'd gone. It wasn't over. It had only begun.

Kez watches for a moment, then moves to the entrance to the lair, speaking words long since dead, words of ancient Dalhria and Dragon mixed he opens a portal. Words spoken will keep it open for as long as he needs to have it open. A nod to Tabith, Sefra and Airis, and the three begin to help the ones who want to leave go through the portal.
He looks to Eavi and does catch the sent of food in the breeze, smiling in thought as the the images and aromas and feelings fade, but are soon replaced by the scent that leaks through the portal from his lair.
He watches as only a few decide to stay, those who were long since broken and now bent on their Master's will or developing a new hunger for this power that Gelithron gave them a taste for. Nuwolf was one to stay, and he forced his slave to stay as well, there was nothing Kez could do as she was not bound to Gelithron she was unable to do her own will. He watched Nuwolf as the others left.
His gaze sweeping over the lair as he sees Eavi pale, moving to her and resting an old hand on her cheek, "He will try, but you are stronger than he realizes." he takes her by the hand, "Come." Starts towards the portal, he thinks of Gryvon and smiles. Ashur will have to go and get the young man.
They step through to his lair. Those that are in that live there do so of their own free will. Ashur comes and takes Eavi's other hand, "Come Eavi, there is food by the fire and you can bathe and change if you wish by the creek" a small river or creek runs through the lair, part of if hidden by a wall, a small pool is there where people can bathe in private. Seen on Ashur's arm is the mark of a Dragon, each one there willingly similarly marked.
As the last of them come through Kez turns to the portal and whispers words, the portal closes tight, no sign of it having been there, now only the entrance to the lair that leads to the outside, one of the many old cities abandoned except for the few who lived there with the old dragon.
Kez moves towards his chamber, pausing as he looks to Tabith who joins him, ~We will talk now~ she smiles to him as they disappear and the door closes behind them.

"Yes," she said to Ashur as she walked with him. She'd settled down with a bowl, but stared silently at the food. Her stomach tied in fierce knots, she knew she couldn't eat.
As she held the bowl in her lap, she looked around to take in the sites of the lair. Others that had come, well and unwell, were being tended. There seemed nothing for her to do. Nothing to worry over. She caught Ashur's gaze on her again, and she blanched and turned her face away to where the portal had been.
Reaction was beginning to set in at the changed circumstances and she quickly rose to her feet. The bowl still clutched in her hand she fairly ran for the shielded area that had been pointed out to her. As the water spilled in front of her, she fell to her knees rocking herself into a curled motion.
She stayed there, rocking silently until the soft trickle of water began to engage her consciousness. Still pale, she sniffled, wiping her eyes before she touched the water. She closed her eyes at the liquid touch. "yes," she finally spoke as she slowly stripped the long shirt from her back. She saw drying towels and clothing placed along the wall. Something would surely fit.
As she began to step into the water, light flickered and set shadows on her skin. The dappled shadow moved, revealing then hiding the scars and burns the shirt had hidden from others view. The water reached her knees, her thighs, her waist....a moment later she crouched, ducking under the water and trying to hide herself from view.

Kez and Tabith remained in silent speak in his Chamber, she shared with him long held secrets. Things she'd longed to tell him, but was unable because it was not time.
Sefra put Fedrith down to sleep, giving him something to put him to sleep for a while. She watched Ashur and Eavi as he showed her around. Airis continued to tend to those that they had brought with them. He too glances to Ashur, the Sefra and Eavi. Watching as Eavi suddenly runs from the main fire to the bath area. He looks to Sefra who doesn't go right away. She gives Eavi this time.
She moves to the fire to sit and eat. Her thoughts drift back to her time in the cave. She felt different, changed. How could she not? Gelithron was a cruel dragon, and he knew it. He knew he was cruel and could be even more cruel. She had been given a glimpse into his mind and the thought of it made her shudder.
Airis watches Sefra and when she shudders he is there at her side, saying nothing, but providing support. His arm slips around her. Here he could openly show his love for her, she did not move away.
One of the female servants that stayed with Kez came to where Eavi was in the water. She picks up the discarded shirt and moving to the clothes hanging she picks the one that is closest in fit and lays it out on the rock beside a towel. There was soap and a cloth to wash with also set there within her reach. She smiles to Eavi, but chooses not to speak giving the young woman time in silence.
The clothes left were far more elegant and beautiful than the simple shirt that she had previously been made to wear.
She smiles again to Eavi before slipping away with the discarded clothing, they would be burned with the clothes of the others that came.
Moving to the pile out near another entrance, she set the clothing there. Each person was given better clothing, each injured person now resting peacefully on furs and blankets and pillows.

She kept silent as well, as the girl moved around the water, picking up and laying out the clothing. It was only when she left that Eavi whispered out a soft 'thank you'.
Picking up the soap, she inhaled it's delicate fragrance, closing her eyes at the scent. When was the last time she'd had such a bath? Slowly she soaped up, rinsed off, and lingered in the water.
She felt the others relaxing, the easing of tension, yet...she could not feel it in herself. What if this were just a moment that passed swiftly. She knew she could not trust the illusion of safety.
She lingered in the water until she felt her skin beginning to tingle, slowly getting out to put on the clean clothing. As it smoothed against her skin, she lightly touched it with her fingertips. Nice....soft......and illusion, she thought.
Sighing, she found a quiet place to sit and stared off into the distance.
