"Yes it did seem as though they did." he offered the same weary smile and sighed. He didn't know how long they climbed for and it seemed to go on forever. But it didn't and hours later her hand would touch the top. He sat on that ledge and looked down, drawing her to sit beside him.
"Remind me to issue a complaint to whoever it is that is leading us" he chuckles and kisses her temple, running fingers through her hair. He inhales, taking a long deep breath, turning his head to look where they will be going next, "We are closer to the surface now. The air is fresher and filled with.. " he gave a puzzled look.. ".. salt." the smell was faint, but it was there.
He rests there with her a few moments, then looks to her, "Lets go" giving her a smile and a kiss. He could see she needed water soon, but they hadn't seen water since before the story room.
He gets up and then helps her up, keeping her close, giving her strength as they went down a long tunnel.
A few more hours went by when he saw a shadow. It was the same height as the girl they'd followed. He assumed she would disappear again.
But Tressell didn't.She stood there, smiling. "Greetings Dragon and Human" her voice was soft, the accent was similiar to the Dalhria that he had met, but different.

She smiled at him as he recognized the scent she'd been drawing on for almost an hour. "Yes," the knowledge of somewhere a end would appear pushed her on for some time. But knowledge would only do so much and she began to lean more and more upon him.
His strength bouyed her up.
"Beloved," she said as they stopped again, feeling as if she would not be able to walk another step.
The sudden appearance of the girl brought her closer to him and her words echoed around them. "oh, thank the Maker" she breathed softly. At this moment she didnt' care if the woman was for good or ill, she just wanted to rest.

Tressell turns and walks down the tunnel, turning into a room, pausing at the entrance, waiting for them.
He followed, holding Reldai close. He could sense how tired she was, how weary she was and he would use his strength to hold her up. If need be He would carry her.
They entered the room and looked around. It had a table, bed, chairs. "Welcome to my home Je'raith and Reldai"
He blinks at the girl, her home? "Who are you? Why have you lead us here?" He eases Reldai into a chair. It was comfortable, then stood to face the girl. She was easily half his size, and as he faced her she smiles and moves to sit, motioning for him to join her at the table.
"I am Tressell. I have lead you here, because this is where you are supposed to be right now." She put a hand up to silence him, which worked to his surprise, then she continued, "You two are special, your joining must be complete before you leave these caverns."
He blinks at her, "But it is" she laughs softly, it had a musical trill to it, "No it is not Jezraith. She must be to you, all that you are to her." she gave Reldai a look, Reldai would understand what that meant. The memory of when she came to him in the cavern's his grief and sorrow were now what she felt in weariness.
Tressell rose and spoke to Reldai, "Come to him Reldai" she would wait until the woman stood and staggered towards him before she left. This would be a moment they would not forget.
As Tressell left he rose and looks to Reldai, Turning to face her. he could see she was dead on her feet.

She settled down, sighing with relief as she felt the cushioned chair around her. It felt glorious. Her eyes closed and she stretched out her legs, trying to ease the ache in her feet and legs.
Her eyes opened when she heard the girls voice. Oh, she thought as she staggered to him. Her eyes met his and she gave a wry smile, death would be easier, it wouldn't hurt so much.
As the words passed through her mind, her eyes darted to his, was this the little hurt?

He stands and moves to her as she staggers to him. Catching her to keep her from falling, but both sink to the floor. His hand caressing her cheek as their eyes meet.
He felt something much deeper than he ever had before. He felt drawn deeper into her gaze and could not tear away. He saw everything she felt.. the weariness, the ache in her body, the ache in her heart for her home, the one she has never known... and the ache she has for him, that insatiable ache that only Mates can share. His was insatiable also, but it drew him deeper into her soul and spirit as he presses his lips to hers.

And she cried through the kiss.
Every hurt inside, within and without seemed to magnify. Every touch seemed to burn as if touched with fire, every breath seemed to cool as if doused by the coldest of water.
Fire and water. An impossible combination, made possible.
Her longings, needs, desires for him combined and grew as the kiss deepened.
And she cried through the kiss.

He couldn't draw from the kiss, he could feel it just as she did. He could taste it, water that should feel good was ice cold to him at that moment, every ache she felt as fire came to him as ice cold water that burned against him.
His very need for her grew and until his whole body was consumed by it. He could feel her tears and feel her crying against the kiss, and her tears were met with his, his body trembling as he is seemingly consumed by the pain she can feel until every fibre of him consumes it, drawing it into himself and making it his own pain to ease and relieve hers. He didn't see the light that surrounded them, but he could feel it's warmth.
How long were they there, locked in that kiss and embrace, he didn't know. Only thing he did know was that somehow he took her pain and when the kiss slowed he was shaking hard, the kiss softens and slowly he wraps his trembling form around her. When he opens his eyes the light was gone but the warmth remains
After a few moments he lifts her up and takes her to the bed, laying her down then laying with her taking her into his arms. Each movement was for him now as it was for her in the beginning. His whole being now ached for her with her and in her. He felt like he had never felt before, so complete, so right, so as he should be.
He grunts softly as he moves, the pain easing and fading. "I love you Reldai, with all of me" the words were whispered and he understood the words she had spoken before. At the beginning of this journey she had taken his pain, now he had taken hers, though 'a little hurt' was an understatement or what he felt and what she felt.. it was over though now.
And for now they would rest.
Tressell waits for the light to disappear. This had been an intimate moment, more than she had ever seen with any joining. She peers in, seeing they made it to the bed and smiles, a wave of her hand and a blanket covers them before she slips out.

(aww..... ) She breathed heavily as the moment that seemed forever ended. Her hands held to him as he carried her, laying her gently down. His words of love made her smile, a soft and contented sigh as he lay with her. "you are my ...." she sighed as she curled tightly against him, "heart" her voice whispered as she felt him surround her. Protecting her as she fell asleep.

Her words made him smile and he whispers though through their ever growing bond ::And you are mine::
He knew they were safe here, and they would sleep a long while at the end of this journey they were.
He held her close, protecting her and loving her, drifting to sweet sleep with her.

Shalame watched as the dome was released, unsealing the starpoint from the air around it. Tension was high among the people as they stood, watching, holding their breath, then breathing.
She smiled as a cheer went up. It had been a long time, but the planet had begun to recover from the devastation of the wars that had nearly killed it, and them.
Slowly, in solemn procession, she walked to the edge of the land. The outcropping that lifted high above the sea. A place that had become their home.
Generations had passed since Shala had gathered the people, guiding them to new life beneath the waters. Generations of their people fighting for survival, for their very existence.
They gathered, this small group of the royal family. Gathered to share the moment, to share the night. A night of stars as they began to flicker and shine. As the moon began to glow, giving it's night warmth upon the land. How clear they now seemed.
The night deepened. The silence of the people broken only by the soft sound of waves upon the seashore.
Slowly, she turned. Her voice ringing out strong. "We bring them home. All our lost, those sent so many years ago. We call them back, it's time to come home."
Through the succeeding generations, the same words would be spoken on the eve of the first night of the seventh month. Words spoken by Shalame, by her daughter, granddaughter until Shalamorn stood upon the point. Flanked by Kal, Ghinana and others. The words spoken for her daughter Nerisha, who remained away.
Many sent away had returned. Generations continued to call for those lost and away. They would never stop calling. ~It is time. Come home. Come home~
Reldai jerked awake as the dream repeated again. How many times had she dreamed the same dream? She reached, clutching his hand and drew it around her as she thought upon what she'd seen.

He was already awake when she jerked awake, his arms wrapping tightly. He didn't see the dream, but he could feel the call it placed inside her. He takes a breath and kisses her temple softly.
He too thinking on what that which he felt meant. He thought he knew, but he didn't want to face the thought of that. What would it mean for him? For Them?
He pushed it out of his mind for now. They had other things to think of here, in this world.

She lay tight in his embrace, thinking. Words now seemed superficial between them. He was in her as she was in him. All that she was, he knew. All he was, she was in.
She turned to look at him, a sad smile in her eyes.
There had been so much sadness and pain; how could they help? How could it be changed.
Her gaze lingered in his and he felt her love. Words would have been minute to the depth he felt from her.

His eyes open as she turns to look at him. His hand rising to caress her cheek. He gave her a smile as well, though there was no sadness in it. He felt her love and she felt his
::Beloved, there is no reason for sadness. What happens will happen, we can do nothing to stop this.:: he looks deep into her eyes, ::But whatever happens, we will always be together.:: it wasn't just words, or a promise, it was truth. Where she was, he would be and where he was, she would be. Nothing could change that now.
He hugs her tight, kissing her softly on the forehead.
After everyone was transported to the bottom of the waterfall, Galventh and Arlianth shift to their human forms, moving into the water with the others. Arlianth checking on the sick, injured and elderly. Galventh checking for a difference in any of those who were not of Reldai's camp, his eyes scanning, his senses alert.. he could see a couple of them enjoying it more than they ever had before. It seemed that most who were not of Reldai's camp that were here avoided water. He thought that was strange, but he could see a few more settling in and while not admitting they felt better he could see it in their faces.
This brought a smile to him and Arlianth as well. She moves to Ash's mother and checks on her, seeing that it has helped her recover far quicker than she thought it could. "You are feeling stronger" she said the to the woman, "Yes, thank you" she smiles, nodding softly.
After, Arlianth dives into the water head first, diving deep. She had never done this in this form and realizes she couldn't go too far without it affecting her, she turns and head back to the surface, jumping up out of the water part way before landing. Laughing softly before pulling Nycia in with her.
Galventh laughs as he watches his Mate and Nycia in the water. It was good to see her laugh again. It has been far too long.

She gently kissed him. "My dearest, I am sad for all those that were separated from their loves, their homes. I feel, I wish I could have gone back to help. To tell them, we survived." She curled up against him again. She sighed, thinking and enjoying his presence. She knew, however much she might want it, she could not change time. She could not help but wonder, what was home like?
Nycia laughed, being finely trounced in the water until Tavean joined in. His laughter, as well as taking her about the waist distracted her enough to catch a mouthful of water.
They had little time during the journey to spend time with each other, and seeing her joy reminded him how much he counted on her gentle guidance. Sweeping her into his embrace with a kiss, he pulled her until she was beyond the waterfall. The shower of water proving a curtain of privacy from other eyes.

He savored that kiss as he did each one, smiling at her words, nodding softly and thinking a moment
::Perhaps You can one day::
He remembered the other humans came on ships and maybe they could learn to fly them. He would seem strangely out of place there, likely they didn't have Dragons, but he would go with her.
He hugs her tight and sighs softly. He didn't know how long they lay there between conversations and looks and feelings and the unspoken, but he guessed it was a day and his muscles began to ache and his stomach began to grumble, but it was a dragon grumble not a human grumble of a stomach. He knew he needed to eat in his natural form. It had been a long time.
"Come Beloved, Lets get ready to head to the surface" he gets up and helps her to her feet, smiling and kissing her again before they hear Tressell enter the room.
"Young Dragon, I have a gift for you in the other room. This one wasn't big enough." He raises a brow and nods, "OK" taking Reldai by the hand she leads them out and across the hall to another room, much larger. In the middle of it were two large animals. Not quite dead, but unable to to move. How did she know?
"Thank you Tressel" he kisses Reldai, "You may want to leave the room, this isn't going to be pretty." stepping away he shifts to is dragon form. Oh.. it felt soooo good. he stretches out as much as he can, then moves to the gifts and hopes if Reldai doesn't leave she's at least prepared, but Tressell takes care of that, "Come Reldai, there is food for you in the other room" taking her by the hand and leading her out to give the dragon privacy to rip and tear.
And he does, as Reldai leaves she can hear the first rip of flesh as he begins to devour the large animals.
As Tavaen joins Nycia, Galventh decides to join Arlianth. He dives into the water but goes deep. Deep enough to shift without anyone seeing, then swimming up right behind Arlianth, His head pokes out, and his gruff voice is heard, "Hi" as Arlianth nearly jumps out of her skin as his large head appears from the waters he says, "Is this a private party or can anyone join?" she laughs after gaining her composure, but not before she smacks his nose hard, he growls out, "OOowwww" even though it likely hurt her more than it would have hurt him, "No, I don't allow anyone, especially mischievous dragons who scare the life out of others"
He shifts back, laughing, and she grins, "Much better" He takes her in his arms, Oh to feel young again.
